Responsibilities Include: Divorce, Child custody, Support, Asset Division, Child in Need of Care, QDRO's and related issued.Conduct client strategy sessions and maintain client communication.Develop and implement comprehensive strategies, work with a team.Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.Prepare, edit, review, draft and finalize legal documents.Represent clients at court hearings (via zoom and in person) and mediations.Stay current with updates to the law.Provide compassionate and competent legal representation for clients in family law.Log time daily into our CRM software: CLIOKeep files digitally and upload them with the help of your paralegal into CLIO.Work with staff, support staff, and other attorneys in the Family Law worldFollow and be on time for scheduled events, client meetings, hearings.Maintain professionalism at all times.Comfortable Interviewing witnesses for court cases and preparing witnesses to testify.Reach out to experts when necessary.Open to education and learning with others.Use Bradley Software as well as Westlaw.Work with your paralegal, office coordinator, and office manager in order to improve efficiency and delegate tasks to the appropriate individuals.Qualifications:JD from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the Kansas OR Missouri2 to 5 years of family law experience (litigation experience strongly preferred)Excellent negotiation, communication, and client managements skills.Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.Proven ability to handle case loadCommitment to our core values, client focus, education and empathy driven service, competitive greatness and character.Be open to company outings, retreats, education opportunities, career advancement, and paid time off.Self-starter, this individual has the ability to work without being micromanaged with the full support of an admin teamAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
