After all of this rain we are overrun with weeds.
We are looking for help weeding our large market garden and possibly our greenhouses. Much of this weeding needs to be done by hand but we also have a large selection of both hand tools and mechanical implements that can be used in certain areas.
We need someone that:
Knows the difference between plants and weeds, or can quickly learn
Will take the time to pull weeds with the root (as much as possible) but be very gentle with the vegetable plants
Works steady and efficiently
Can bend, stoop, squat and lift repetitively. A lot of the weeding is done on hands and knees
Can comfortably lift 50 lb bags and landscape cloth
Is comfortable working outside
Can provide your own transportation
CANNOT USE TOBACCO IN OR AROUND THE VEGETABLE GARDEN
