Anderson rental is a leading equipment rental company in the Kansas City Metro market, we are specialists in the compact dirt, tree care, material handling and aerial market. We serve the metro from a downtown location and the position would work out of shop at I-35 and Lamar in Kansas City, KS. We have a new value fleet of over $2,500,000.00, that fleet’s average age is less than 18 months. We are looking for the right person to help keep our fleet up and going.
POSTION ROLE: This mechanic/technician/diesel mechanic role will perform preventive maintenance (working with staff on a maintenance schedule), perform diagnostics, and make timely repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime. There will be times that you will be required to make in-field repairs at our customer’s work site, you may also be asked to assist with duties involving customer service (loading or unloading).
-get repairs done either by oneself or with staff.
-manage rental ready status of equipment.
-development and implement a preventative maintenance program and schedule.
-maintain preventative maintenance program.
-coordinate with operations staff to schedule repairs based on need for equipment availability due
to customer needs.
-schedule field repairs.
-order parts and work with vendors.
We are looking for a candidate with a construction equipment service background and rental experience is a plus. You need knowledge on various types of engines, basis understandings of schematics and diagrams, basis understanding of hydraulics and electrical. We supply tools, work area and uniform service.
This is a full time job, with overtime available. It includes benefits and paid vacation.
