JDB FiPro, an Overland Park-based Fiber Survey Crew, is hiring two people to join our fiber surveying team for a project near Fort Smith, Arkansas. This is a contract position.
Here’s what you need to know:
Job Details
- You’ll spend up to 6 hours a day walking or riding a four wheeler/atv outside and taking pictures of utility poles.
- Afterward, you’ll process those photos on a computer to upload them into a software system.
- This job involves significant time outside and it will be cold during the project.
- Full project commitment is required (approximately four weeks)
- No experience necessary - just a good work ethic. Training will be provided. Must be eligible to work in the United States and be over 18 to be considered.
Project Timeline
- The project starts in about two weeks and will run through Dec 23rd
- The crew will survey 4,000 utility poles in about a month.
- There are opportunities to extend the project up to 8,000 poles, depending on speed.
- Rotating days off will be scheduled throughout the project.
Compensation
- Contract position
- Pay is $1500 per 1000 poles that the crew surveys. You will receive your first payout after 1,000 poles and then receive final compensation after the project is completed (likely within four weeks)
- Lodging will be provided
- Bonus potential for early completion.
