Bold Reuse is on a mission to eliminate single-use waste. We work with hospitality venues to provide reusable packaging and the supporting logistics, warehousing, and washing services that enable it to be used and reused safely and sustainably. We currently work with organizations like the Portland Trail Blazers, Oregon Convention Center, Starbucks and Imperfect Foods, and are expanding rapidly into Kansas City and other new markets.
Position Details
We are currently seeking a temporary local Operations Specialist who will be responsible for duties necessary for the successful sanitation of reusables, as well as logistics and administrative activities. Although this operations role is temporary, this is a great way to explore Bold Reuse and potentially gain more opportunities within the company. In addition, it is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about sustainability and looking to make a real impact in their community.
This position is short-term, as-needed, and therefore will have a specific start date and time and end date and time. Our current needs include approximately 20-30 hours scheduled over 3-4 days, typically M-W between 9 am-3 pm CDT. Specific weeks needed may include (with strong potential for more): 4/15, 4/22, 5/20, 6/11, 6/17, 7/1, 7/8, 9/9, 9/23, 9/30, 10/21
The location is in the West Bottoms area of KCK. A commitment by week to the entire process is preferred but we may have openings for on-call staff.
Responsibilities
- Process reusables through the washing, sanitation, drying and repackaging steps by following the Bold Reuse clean procedure(s)
- Help keep facility clean and safe
- Help deliver clean reusables and pick up collected reusables from client location(s)
- Help track processing data utilizing Bold Reuse data systems
Requirements:
- Must be able to work as part of a team
- Ability to communicate clearly, that includes interpreting instructions and providing them to others, written and verbal communication as well as the ability to record data, perform simple mathematical calculations and communicate those findings if necessary
- Reliable; consistently at work and on time
- Able to carefully follow company policies and procedures
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs
Experience working in food service or retail is a plus
Compensation: $20 per hour, paid weekly upon the completion of the project interval.
