Overview

The Epic Bounce General Manager is a full-time role located on-site in Kansas City. This role will work closely with the owners, and be responsible for managing all aspects of the park, including setup, tear-down, operations, staff and procedures.This is an opportunity to help shape the future of Epic Bounce, from working with staff, creating a great experience for customers and evolving the business in partnership with the owners.

Responsibilities Include

- Staffing: Responsible for hiring crews for setup, operations and tear-down. Including hiring, management and retention of park staff. This includes job postings, interviews, finalist recommendations, completing documentation and termination, if necessary.

- Training: Responsible for ongoing training and coaching of park management staff, including documentation and evolution of existing SOPs.

- Staff Management & Scheduling: Responsible for shifts and scheduling of park staff, including coordination and communication via staffing platform (Homebase). Also responsible for quickly escalating and/or addressing staff issues, and must be willing to release employees who aren’t performing as needed.

- Park Operations: Responsible for daily setup, cleanliness and management of park, including ticketing, crowd control, safety, security, regular cleaning, concessions and stocking/re-stocking of supplies.

- Local Coordination: Responsible for local communication and coordination for delivery, setup and transportation of goods and materials needed for the park. Includes things such as generator refueling, fence setup, supply deliveries, local marketing coordination, permitting and inspections.

- Weekend Operations: Epic Bounce primarily operates Friday-Sunday and will require the GM to be mostly available on these days, plus two additional days per week for preparation and business management. GM will hire Assistant Park Managers to help run operations on a daily basis, however the GM will be expected to be at the park to oversee operations during business hours and be the acting Park Manager on a regular basis.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate has experience managing a staff of 10-15 people at a time, puts an emphasis on customer service and fosters a positive environment for staff and customers alike. Hospitality and entertainment experience is preferred.

- Bachelor's degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience

- Minimum of three years of management experience in hospitality, food service, recreation or similarly operationally challenging industries

- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills that allow you to manage and motivate a team

- Strong customer relationship skills

- Willingness to work weekend schedules

- Comfortable creating schedules and managing employees using scheduling apps

- Open to partnering with owners to operate and grow the business

- Experience, ability and excitement to work around kids and families

- Clean history and background check

Compensation & Benefits:

- $50,000 - $75,000 annual salary

- Bonus potential based on annual personal, team and business performance

- Paid vacation days

- “Slow season” months - during non-operating months (approximately 2-3 months per year) responsibilities will shift to administrative responsibilities with a high degree of flexibility.
