This position will be in Kansas City, MO Summary of Duties: Leads the development and execution of sourcing strategies for commodity groupings that have a complexity rating of 50-75% and an annual spend of up to $50 million
Supports the development and execution of commodity groupings that have a complexity rating of over 75% and an annual spend above $50 million
Monitors long term forecasts to ensure enough future capacity is contracted or locked to meet the rapidly increasing organizational demand
Negotiates complex incentive-based contracts that follow FAR requirements
Focuses on future internal requirements, supplier technology road maps, capabilities, capacities, used to support decisions on supplier selection and make vs. buy
Uses e-Sourcing and Supplier Performance Management activities to maintain process continuity
Manages supplier relationships and drives internal commodity alignment and direction across all internal programs
Drives the strategic direction for improving Supplier Health Scores while proactively monitoring commodity risk assessments. Implements corrective action to reduce commodity risk
Ensures consideration is given, and strategy developed, to optimize spend through socio-economic businesses
Formulates strategy to action items with a detailed execution plan complete with timelines and expected results
Serves as the subject matter expert as it relates to market dynamics, benchmarks, legislation, and key drivers of assigned commodities
Aligns commodity strategies with business growth initiatives and new product introductions while offering input and recommendations into make vs. buy decisions
Supports the inclusion of the Design Agencies to ensure New Product Introduction aligns with commodity strategies
Ensures compliance with business policies and procedures and export/import regulations
You Must Have:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited program
Minimum of 7 years of applicable professional experience in a manufacturing environment
US citizenship in order to obtain and maintain US Department of Energy security clearance

Knowledge of government contracting requirements including a working understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
Advanced degree, ISM, CPSM certification, or Six Sigma Green Belt certification
