Provides prompt, efficient, and accurate filling of prescriptions through automation at facility.

Helps to maintain standard operating procedures.

Maintains a positive attitude; creates an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork. Generates a friendly atmosphere and sets a good example.

Sets the department standards for customer service, employee relations, cleanliness, sanitation, professional appearance and overall profitability.

Smiles and greets employees in a friendly manner.

Files proper paperwork for licenses (State and Federal) with proper agencies.

Performs controlled substance inventory on an annual basis or as recommended.

Responsible for inventory control, maintaining inventory levels by ordering and stocking merchandise, checking invoices, and entering inventory.

Understands retail Hy-Vee operations to serve them with accurate, prompt prescriptions.

Coaches, counsels, and trains employees; encourages additional education and training.

Responds to complaints in a timely manner.

Adheres to company policies and Fulfillment Center guidelines.

Reports to work when scheduled and works expected number of hours.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Instructing, reviewing work, assigning work, planning work of others, maintaining standards, coordinating activities, and allocating personnel.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics

Must have the ability to do logical or scientific thinking to solve problems; several abstract and concrete variables.

Have the ability to do arithmetic calculations involving arithmetic, algebraic and geometric calculations.

Must be able to compose original correspondence; follow technical manuals; have increased contact with people; interview counsel or advise people; evaluate technical data.

Education and Experience

College degree in pharmacy and licensed.

Must have continuing education to keep license current.

Must have ability to be licensed in multiple states.

Over one year of related or similar work experience.

Physical Requirements

Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction

Must be able to physically exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 pounds of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

Must be able to perform the following physical activities: stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions

Working ConditionsThis position frequently involves a fast work pace in a production setting. Must be able to handle multiple tasks daily.Equipment Used to Perform JobHigh volume solutions robotics, operating software, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.ContactsHas daily contact with Fulfillment Center employees. Has occasional contact with vendors, stores and government agencies.Financial ResponsibilityIs fully responsible for company assets including prescription inventory, pharmacy computer and software, and pharmacy fixtures.ConfidentialityMaintains the confidentiality of the customer's private medical information according to the HIPAA act. Maintains the confidentiality of prescription drug pricing and costs.I understand that this pharmacy handles and prepares hazardous drugs. The USP 800 is intended to ensure that personnel of reproductive capability understand the risks of handling hazardous drugs. Accordingly, I acknowledge that exposure to hazardous drugs may cause acute and chronic effects.
