Payroll Supervisor/Manager/Director

Description We are looking for a Payroll Supervisor/Manager/Director to join our team in the manufacturing industry based in KANSAS CITY, Missouri. In this role, you will be given the responsibility of supervising the payroll process, preparing and processing assigned payrolls, and maintaining payroll data files in compliance with legal requirements. Responsibilities: Oversee the preparation and processing of payrolls, ensuring associates receive accurate pay in a timely manner. Conduct thorough reviews of each payroll prior to finalization for accuracy. Ensure all payroll reports are completed in line with internal requirements and legal and tax regulations. Maintain payroll data files in accordance with legal requirements. Calculate and process sales commissions based on various commission structures and prepare corresponding reports. Review and correct any errors in payroll reports. Reconcile payrolls and commission accruals within set deadlines. Carry out quarterly tax package reconciliation and year-end balancing duties. Prepare relocation and gift card expense files for payroll input, ensuring accurate income tax calculation. Communicate regularly with payroll service provider to address escalated system issues and configuration. Perform various month-end closing duties relating to payroll and general ledger functions within established deadlines. Prepare reports for and assist with various annual financial audits. Requirements Proficiency in Full Cycle Payroll is a must Experience in managing Payroll for over 500 Employees is required Deep understanding of Payroll Taxes is needed Ability to accurately prepare and submit Payroll Tax Returns is essential Experience in Payroll Tax Reporting is necessary Proven skills in the Process Payroll function are required Familiarity with UKG Pro software is a valuable asset Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
