Diesel Mechanic Technician30$/HRImmediate HiringDescription:The diesel equipment technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and installing components on heavy duty trucks and chassis. The main role would be to support the assembly technicians who are upfitting new chassis equipment with complicated installations or issuesRoles and Responsibilities:Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying worn and damaged parts.Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, PTO’s, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, or hydraulics.Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems.Using Chassis, engine, or transmission software, modify programming parameters to meet project objectives.Repair all units consistently by utilizing quality standards.Coordinate with dealerships or local suppliers as necessary to facilitate the parts needed for repairs.Ability to read, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic blueprints and schematic drawings.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Must have high quality mechanical tools with an upright rolling toolbox.Ensures that customers’ trucks and equipment are kept clean.Must have a working knowledge and understanding of safety requirements and practice them.Must work with and for all departments in harmony.Must have good time management skills and be able to manage multiple simultaneous priorities.Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.Perks and Benefits:Safety glasses / prescription reimbursementLots of room for growthVolunteer OTPay and Shift:6:00am to 2:30pm - Monday to Friday$30 to $35/hrExperience Level:Fast growing upfitter is seeking highly motivated Diesel Mechanic Technician .ASE Certified with emphasis in T6 - Electrical/Electronics and mechanical skills with heavy trucks and heavy equipment preferred.About Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
