Responsibilities
  • Provide Production Level-2 Support for a Life Administration application and other applications as assigned.
  • Build orchestrations on the Life Administration application.
  • Support integrations between core Life applications and enterprise software, and software from external vendors.
  • Evaluate new code for reliable architecture, stability, reusability, performance, automation, security, and metrics.
  • Assist in the development of IT staff’s technical expertise by preparing and conducting formal classes and providing technical assistance on complex system problems.
  • Contribute to improvement in departmental and operating efficiencies by participating in the development of standards and procedures and by initiating and promoting new concepts and ideas.
  • Create and direct software system testing procedures, documentation, and programming to ensure all software is properly developed and regularly tested for quality assurance.

Requirements
  • College degree or equivalent technical training.
  • 1-3 years of programming experience with demonstrated proficiency utilizing C#/VB .NET, JavaScript, and MS SQL Server to develop/support Web and network-hosted enterprise applications.
  • Proven ability to evaluate/refactor code for reliable architecture, stability, reusability, performance, automation, security, and metrics.
  • Experience building multi-tier applications. leveraging APIs and SOA frameworks.
  • Experience with event-based architecture.
  • Demonstrated design capabilities and experience using JavaScript frameworks for front-end UI development and Responsive design.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum and other SDLC tools, processes, and methodologies.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality is an essential function of this position.
