ASSEMBLER20-22$/HRIMMEDIATE HIRINGDescription:Aerotek is working with a Wabtec Company is looking for an a mechanical Assembler. The Assembler is responsible for producing highly engineered, custom built mobile material handling machinery for rail related markets by using mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic assembly techniques as well as welding, electrical wiring and hitching on overhead cranes and jibs.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESRead and follow standard work, BOM's, blueprints, routings, specifications and other diagrams/instructions in order to build and assemble parts and equipment in an accurate and timely fashionObtain necessary tools and equipmentHandle material, tools and equipment manually or with jib crane, performing own hitching as requiredFollows piping diagrams or other instructions to connect hydraulic/pneumatic hosing or piping accurately and timelyMaintain high quality standardsConsistently maintains level of productivity as determined by managementSpray paint parts as requiredAssembler will be assembling parts to build railcars. Will be using hand tools and reading blueprints/schematics. Experience in wire harness assembly and assembling cables is a huge plus. Will be working alongside 8-10 individuals at the mostmust be able to assemble cars from start to finish, including electrical work.Initial training will be provided, but must be very technically inclined.Will be working with a lead during the first 2 weeks, then expected to do 100% job on their own after.Skills:Assembly, Mechanic, Body, Shop, Cable, automotive mechanics, hand tool, mechanical, automotive tech, hydraulics, auto, mechanic diesel, electricalAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Wiring Principal DutiesFollow wiring diagrams/schematics to connect electrical cabling accurately and timelyPerform wiring sequence for point to point direct or harness wiringWire mounting panels and junction boxes per documentation/instructionsCreate or re-wire harnesses and cables per documentationGeneral DutiesFollow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
