Specialist - Production Technologies sought by Schaeffler Group USA Inc. in Joplin, MO.Position Duties: Lead development and deployment of technologies for SMB grinding and honing machines. Ensure the maximum contribution to the KPIs in terms of cost, quality and delivery. Track, achieve and sustain goals and objectives. Devise and ensure timely implementation of cost savings projects. Prepare timely business cases and requests of capital expenditures. Provide capital planning data in a timely and accurate manner to ensure quality forecasting. Ensure capital expenditures are on-track to forecasts. Ensure timely implementation of capital to meet projects and customer requirements. Devise and implement robust manufacturing process that meet benchmark technology capabilities. Own, devise and implement complete and accurate PFMEAs. Work together with Quality group to devise and implement appropriate metrology plan to ensure measurement capabilities. Direct and track projects progress. Lead continuous improvement activities in the spirit of Lean. Devise concepts ensuring minimum setup times, single piece flow wherever possible. Lead Six Sigma activities. Take ownership of equipment OEE and strive to improve all areas of responsibility. Actively participate in regional Technology Exchange Platform and exchange. Implement benchmark improvement in plants and contribute to regional improvement through sharing of local improvements. Maintain regular contact and provide updates to regional and global experts as needed. Provide technical coaching for shop floor employees to ensure technical execution and knowledge sharing. Coordinate all activities, as needed, with equipment and services suppliers. Support and comply with procedures to qualify, commission and release equipment for production.Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in the position offered, as an Industrial Engineer or a related position. Employer will accept four years of experience in meeting the Bachelors degree requirement. Three (3) years of experience must include: Project management in manufacturing of bearing products; Leading functional and cross-functional teams; Continuous improvement methodology such as Value Streams, MTM, Lean, or Ergonomic; Using ERP (SAP) for investment duties, including ordering spare parts from suppliers, updating material requests, tracking drawings and machine utilization, machine routing, and calculating production costs; Costing and quoting; Six Sigma training; and Providing grinding process, quality and grinding machines training.
