Lead architecture, design and build innovative services and frameworks in support of Marriott's Technology Innovation Platform.

Responsible for defining and creating scalable/secure system solutions and cloud-native applications using microservices, RESTful APIs, and SaaS/PaaS platforms to deliver real-world capabilities for Marriott.com, API and other Marriott business operations.

Works on design and development of integrations with multiple AI/ML models along with multimodal solutions.

Collaborate extensively with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure and DevSecOps teams to ensure the development of the right architecture components.

Work across multiple products & engineering teams to deliver incremental value against a multi-year modernization roadmap.

Perform research and lead engineering teams during analysis, design, creation, and implementation of applications to meet current and future user requirements.

Help develop proof-of-concept implementations to help evaluate cutting-edge technology to drive and meet Marriott business & technology objectives.

Works in an agile development environment while leading multiple vendor teams in an onshore-offshore model.

Perform complex quantitative and qualitative analyses for service delivery processes and projects.

Provide consultation for routine and complex systems development.

Ensures early warning to the business stakeholder executives regarding degraded or missed service levels.

Coordinate with Operations and Infrastructure teams for deployment and production support activities.

Follow all defined IT standards and processes (i.e. IT Governance, SM&G, Architecture, etc.), and provides input for improvements to the appropriate process owners as needed.

Provides mentorship, guidance and training to Junior team members as and when required.

Provide financial input on department or project budgets, capital expenditures or other cost/resource estimates as requested.

Validates that Service Providers develop and manage respective aspects of a project plan, including schedules, deliverables, and appropriate metrics.

Build cloud native microservices, domain driven development, and event-oriented architectures.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or in a closely related field followed by 5 years of progressively responsible Software Development experience. Experience must include:

5 years of experience defining, creating, and supporting enterprise-scale cloud solutions in an agile development environment

5 years of experience delivering large-scale systems, with focus on scalability, latency, security and resilience.

5 years of hands-on experience in building cloud native microservices, domain driven development, and event-oriented architectures

5 years of experience with automation, CI/CD, Release Management processes and Application Deployments to Cloud.

3 years of development experience in one or more of the following: GraphQL, Stibo, and/or Lucidworks Fusion

5 years of development experience in the following tech/tool/platforms stack: Spring Boot, Node.js and Microservices development

1 years of experience working with systems integrating AI/ML models in eCommerce domain.

Demonstrated knowledge of API platforms, back-end services, database and networking components of full stack infrastructure. Knowledge may be demonstrated through education, training and/or experience.
