Sr. Accountant

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in GRAIN VALLEY, Missouri. The role will involve maintaining financial records and processing transactions within the financial industry. Responsibilities: Oversee accounts payable and receivable operations Generate accurate financial statements Conduct month and year-end close processes Manage payroll operations and ensure accuracy Maintain and analyze profit and loss statements Use QuickBooks for various accounting tasks Resolve any financial discrepancies and answer inquiries Monitor customer accounts and perform necessary actions. Requirements Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role. Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of tax regulations and reporting. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar certification is preferred. Proven experience with financial forecasting and risk analysis. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and independently. High level of integrity and professionalism.
