Description:Multi‐disciplined engineering, architecture, surveying, and environmental consulting firm comprised of a group of industry professionals who are dedicated to client service, exceeding our clients’ expectations, and fostering personal and professional growth through active contributions to our team environment. Because of our growth and expanding client relationships, we are seeking to add a Geospatial Field Technician/Part 107 FAA Drone Pilot to our team.As a Geospatial Field Technician/Drone Pilot you will work in the field and be responsible for data collection at solid waste, commercial, residential, and power plant facilities throughout the country. A candidate for this role must be willing to deploy to remote locations across the United States, work independently or as a member of a small team with minimal supervision.The Geospatial Field Technician candidate must have experience/knowledge operating and understanding multi‐rotor and fixed wing drones, LiDAR and photogrammetry principles as well as mission planning. Knowledge of surveying references such as coordinates systems, projections, datums, geoids and state plane zones preferred. Experience in Pix4D photogrammetry software technology is necessary. Topographic surveying experience is a plus.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Logs field data; maintains clear concise and accurate field notes Conduct pre‐flight and post‐flight operations. UAV assembly, maintenance, pre‐flight planning, safety briefings, FAA airspace & airport tower coordination, checklists, and overall mission‐readinessJOB REQUIREMENTS: 2‐5 years of experience in operating UAVs Current Licensed FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot  High school diploma  Current valid driver’s licenseSkills:pix4D, drone, drone image capturing software, photogrammetry, data collection, lidar, uav, topographic surveysTop Skills Details:pix4D,drone,drone image capturing software,photogrammetry,data collection,lidar,uavAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Topographic surveying experience is a plus.associate or bachelor’s degree with relevant geospatial, imaging coursework preferred.About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
