The University of Missouri Physics Dept. in Columbia, MO is seeking a creative machinist eager to learn new skills for a full-time position in their machine shop.
The Physics Machine Shop does a wide variety of design and fabrication work for the University and other research facilities. The shop is clean, well lit, and equipped with a full range of manual lathes, milling machines, etc. as well as a CNC lathe and milling machine
A successful applicant should have an associates degree or a minimum of 2-3 years of machine shop experience as well as MasterCAM training. A strong mechanical background and TIG welding skills are a plus
