Hey hey, my name is Carissa. I have been building my pet business for about 2 years and I am finally full enough to hire someone.

This is a business in the early stages, so I am looking for someone to grow with me, work with me, and be flexible to us learning together. Right now, I'm looking for someone available one or two days a week. My ideal candidate would be someone who is retired and looking for something fun and easy. Because of the growing stages, I think someone who's retired and may not necessarily need income, but would just enjoy the work, would be best. However, anyone can apply.

If you have animal experience (even if it's just having your own or being around them often), please tell me about it! This isnt a job for someone afraid of dogs, allergic, etc. Goes without saying, but felt like I should ;)

I need someone with outstanding and prompt communication. I expect my employee to keep in contact with me the whole day they are working, i.e.- checking in when they get to a clients home, checking in when they leave. Obviously I will be available for any questions/concerns you may have while working. This might sound a bit over the top, but I have built this business with my own sweat and lack of sleep and I can't afford someone who might mess it up. I also expect communication on off days. You dont need your phone attached to your hand, but if I have questions about scheduling or appointments you have completed, I'd like decent communication. Right now, because it is a one to two day work week, I dont want it to sound as if you're at my beck and call. Just literally get back to me in a timely manner. That's all :)

I also require great customer service, proficient in following directions, common sense and obviously an animal lover. I also need someone with a working vehicle, with up to date insurance. And a smartphone.

Overall, someone I can trust. This could turn into something long term and more full time position if we play it right. You will be going into peoples homes and taking care of a member of their family. I need to trust you more than anything. This is absolutely vital. You will be training with me for several days before I allow you out on your own.

I, personally, do not care about past run ins with the law, but I will need to do a background check and need you to be absolutely upfront about anything I will find. Talk to me honestly, I'll talk to you honestly. We are, again, going into people's houses and I need someone I'm not worried about.

I dont want to catch shit from this, but I probably will need a female. Not because I care, but I have heard from many a client that their dogs are sus with men. I'm not closed to working with a man, but unfortunately because this is something I hear often, I would like a lady for the pets sake. I hate it, you hate it, but dogs just dont understand that all men arent the same. I dont understand that either :P

This sounds like a lot for a small position, but I'm hoping it will turn into more when I have an employee and can take on more work.

If this sounds at all up your alley, please reply with a resume and some detail about your experience with pets. I'd like a small paragraph about you as a person so I can sense who you are. Write what you'd like, I'm not looking to make someone give me a cover letter and a pint of blood like other jobs. Just let me see who you are. Humor appreciated.

This will start at $16-$18 an hour, cash. Uncle Sam won't see your pay. Payment will be hourly. All clients pay for appointments and not drive time, so I think that will be the simplest way for me to compensate for appointments and drive time.

Pay frame is up to you. If you want payment that day, cool. If you want it at the end of the week, cool. We can discuss.

I'm open to everyone, I see that Craigslist is asking if I'm open to folks with disabilities. Keep in mind this does require a bit of driving and walking, but as long as youre okay, I'm okay :) Any race, ethnicity, pronoun, disability, horoscope, whatever, is all welcome and loved.

I'm easy to work with and a fun person overall, so please let me know if youre interested. Thanks so much!
