Process incoming orders; receive, evaluate, and respond to written or telephoned inquiries in a timely manner. Work within established guidelines in order to achieve the objectives of the service agreement consistent with customer expectations, company policy and profit and quality requirements while directly supporting production and warehouse leadership as necessary.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Communicate with internal and external customers to support staff and customer needs. Respond to general inquiries and telephone calls. Respond to requests by researching information and take detailed messages. May be authorized to make decisions on routine matters as delegated by the supervisor. Refer problems to supervisor/manager for resolution. Verify information and data to ensure market compliance with regulations and procedures. Collect, track, and input data on relevant operations metrics to support tracking production and warehouse performance (including shorts, mispicks, dump/damage, and service levels.) Check documents for accuracy and completeness, cross reference information. Create and maintain basic charts, graphs, spreadsheets and databases to prepare for manager’s review. Maintain files, record keeping activities and confidential data. Problem resolution on a smaller or less complex scale or in a liaison role. May handle or assist in a segment of a project. Prepare and update recurring and routine internal reports, collect and verify data. Other duties as assigned by manager.SUPERVISION: N/ARELATIONSHIPS Internal: The incumbent is required to interact with managers, employees, customers, and vendors at all levels of responsibility throughout the company in a professional manner. External: N/AWORK ENVIRONMENT The work will take place at a desk in an office environment but may occasionally require work in normal production or warehouse environments including cooler and freezer areas where temperatures may be as low as -5 degrees.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSRelated Experience/Requirements: Minimum one-year production and/or warehouse experience required, preferably in a food environment.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Effective communication both verbally and in writing. Excellent telephone and customer service ability. Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail. Basic computer skills with a good knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook. Problem solving and critical thinking abilities to solve problems of limited scope. Perform cross-functional activities, and work on a varying schedule.
