If you join our team, your work will ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives.As a Manager II - Windows Development you will schedule and delegate tasks, serve as point of contact with many people (technical and non-technical) and help manage expectations around roles, responsibilities, and overall goals of a project. You will also research industry trends and lead a staff of software engineers to help them grow and succeed with their responsibilities.So, what will you be doing as a(n) Manager II - Windows Development?
Research industry standards and make recommendations on improvements or changes
Identify skills needed to succeed on projects and building the development team to grow in those skills
Manage development tools including licensing, updates, and access
Ensure software quality is taking place with the applications being developed
Oversee the design, development, testing, and implementation of new programs, applications, and processes
Manager all aspects of the software development life cycle within your team
Work closely with end users and stakeholders to analyze and solve business problems
Manage employee development by setting and evaluating goals, providing feedback, and employing techniques to enable employees to realize their potential
Be involved in hiring process for new team members
To be successful in this role, youll need:
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Management, or related field, or suitable combination of education, experience, and training
Minimum of 5 years experience in a development role with at least 2 years in management
Able to lead by example
Display a sense of urgency and a strong attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong experience with RDBMS systems, specifically MSSQL, and the development of T-SQL queries and views
Experience working with Rest APIs
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documentation
Things we consider a plus:
Previous experience in writing code is preferred
Understanding Azure services and architecture is a plus
Experience working with Dynamics 365 Finance is a plus
Experience working in an international environment is a plus (offshore support staff)
