Job Description:Assists patients with healthcare needs who are ill or recovering from surgery or disease. Patient Care Assist II will be assigned by an RN and will function under the delegation of an RN. The PCA II is responsible to perform the following duties:Shift: Full time, Night Shift ScopeAs a Patient Care Assistant with us, you will know how to:Provide assistance to patients, families, visitors and hospital staff.Augment services and staff by assisting with nursing and patient care activitiesRound on patients, answer call lights and phonesTend to basic needs of patients, insure their comfort.Effectively communicate needs of patient to staffAdhere to unit standards and guidelinesEnsure patient's privacy at all timesMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma, or the equivalent, requiredPreferred: Prior healthcare experiencePhysical Requirements:Anticipated job posting close date:08/26/2024Location:St James HospitalWork City:Work State:MontanaScheduled Weekly Hours:The hourly range for this position is listed below.
