Are you a mechanic looking for a new maintenance opportunity? The Doe Run Company is seeking a mobile equipment mechanic in order to ensure process safety and minimize division downtime. This position is located at Fletcher Underground. Insurance benefits start day 1. Eligible for 80 hours vacation and 11 holidays.All offers/pay will be based on experience and testing results.Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot equipment problems.

Provide scheduled maintenance and repairs.

Manage time to provide effective, timely, and efficient repair and maintenance service.

Install new equipment and modify existing equipment as required per job site.

Complete tasks in a safe and environmentally compliant manner by following EHS (environmental, health, and safety) policies, procedures, and best practices; support and assist peers in working in a safe, compliant manner; report unsafe acts or conditions, incidents, and deviations; and provide feedback to support continuous improvement in EHS performance.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Successful completion of an industrial maintenance course or auto technology course or one year of auto repair experience or industrial maintenance experience.

High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.

Valid, current drivers license.

Must complete the Doe Run Mobile Maintenance Mechanic aptitude assessment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Familiarity with divisional operations (i.e., mining, milling, smelting).

Basic mechanical skills.

Ability to operate mobile equipment, including cranes, forklifts, skid steer loaders, etc.

Familiarity with metal fabrication, hydraulics/pneumatics, refractory work, bearings/seals, welding, pipe fitting, pump repair, and mechanical repairs.

Basic computer skills and diagnostic skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and willingness to learn time management and financial software.

Basic literacy skills.

Ability to learn to read schematics/blueprints.

Demonstrated skill in using small hand tools, measuring, and basic mathematical calculations.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to wear personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to, respirator, hearing protection and eyewear.

Frequently works near moving, mechanical parts.

Frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions and vibration.

Occasionally exposed to wet, humid conditions and extreme heat.

Exposed to loud noise levels.

Regularly requires hearing, reaching with hands/arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing or balancing.

Frequently requires talking, feeling attributes of objects, grasping, standing, walking, driving, repetitive movement, and moving up and down from/to sitting a position on the floor.

Occasionally requires sitting and pushing.

Requires clarity of vision, three-dimensional vision, the ability to judge distance and spatial relationships, precise hand-eye coordination, and the ability to identify and distinguish colors.

Regularly required to lift up to 15 pounds; frequently required to lift up to 25 pounds; occasionally required to lift up to 100 pounds.
