The City of Billings is seeking a Treatment Court Coordinator to support and manage the Billings Adult Misdemeanor Treatment Court's (BAMTC) grants and cases.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages grant reporting each quarter for the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA) grants.
- Completes required SAMHSA Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) reporting.
- Receive and research referrals for potential participants to refer to appropriate court. Start a screening folder for the appropriate BAMTC track.
- Maintain and update recidivism quarterly. Report to the team on rates during team meetings.
- Hand out, track, and supply bus passes, incentives, and gift cards for participants.
- Track and notify the probation officer when revocations need to be filed.
- Train for court procedures to assist as necessary.
- Complies and assists the treatment court team to comply with all confidentiality requirements, including 42 C.F.R. and HIPAA.
- Maintains the confidentiality of all treatment court team proceedings.
- Assists in creating and maintaining a data collection system to monitor client compliance, identify trends and provide a basis for client evaluation.
- Participates fully as treatment court team member.
- Participates in operational meetings.
- Updates the team on recidivism rates, grant information, and alerts the team when jurisdiction is running out on participants.
- Participates in regular cross training with professionals trained in cultural competency, addiction, alcoholism, and pharmacology and applies knowledge to suggest appropriate responses.
- Provides training to new or replacement coordinators and other team members.
- Travels to Grant Required and Treatment Court Training.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Two-year degree in criminal justice, human services, psychology, social work or a related program.
- Two (2) years of related work experience.
- Must have the ability to operator personal computers and a must be proficient with Microsoft Office, or equivalent.
- Must have the ability to multi-task.
- Must have strong writing, editing, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to pass a Federal and State criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Judicial or Treatment background.
Salary Range: $21.7984 - $25.2386 per hour. Salary reflects Step 2 and Step 5 of a 7-step pay scale. Salary at hiring will be dependent upon the applicant's education, experience, and training.
Work Schedule: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 32 hours per week. Position is contingent on the availability of continued grant funding.
