QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
Engineering degree
Ability to demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
General knowledge of the engineering, construction and operation of electric and natural gas transmission and distribution systems including regulatory policies (FERC, DOT, etc.) or related experience
Working knowledge of company safety and environmental policies and procedures or have related experience
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft office and ability to learn and effectively use proprietary software
Ability to supervise and direct the activities of several functions and direct reports, coordinate diverse activities, delegate efficiently and promote and maintain a positive and progressive work environment
Ability to lead a day-to-day operation that is dynamic and is a change agent
Ability to perform constant sitting, frequent standing and walking, occasional lifting up to 35 pounds
Ability to travel up to 20% of the work time or as the work requires under varying conditions
Ability to be on-call for after-hours emergencies as part of the Division operations Supervisor-on-Call rotation
Ability to pass an employment physical, a drug test and a background check
Professional Engineer License is preferred
Practical knowledge of all phases of utility electric and gas operations is recommended
Criteria for hiring and/or promotion to Upper Level:
Strong leadership skills including interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a department and department staff members
Exceptional work experience and knowledge may be considered subject to review and approval by upper management
DUTIES INCLUDE:
Demonstrate leadership consistent with NorthWestern Energy's code, values, policies, processes and controls

Effectively manage budgets, ensuring proper cost controls
Lead special projects and utilize change and project management techniques as required
Ensure that work is performed in compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Policies and Procedures established by NorthWestern Energy
Ensure that plans and work are executed in compliance with the NWE Safety and Standards Manuals
Adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics
Ensure all actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy's values, mission, and strategic business objectives
Directly responsible for:
Outage management and analysis
Power quality system planning, power quality and RFI issue investigation and resolution
System operation optimization coordinated with the asset management, substation and electric/gas operations functions (coordination studies, data plans, switching plans, feeder loading, ties, etc.)
Coordination and integration of effective leadership and human performance initiatives in the Division workforce with the Division Manager, Electric and Gas Supervisors
Supervisory responsibilities for a part of the Division workforce and operation
Metering function within the Division operations including personnel, work execution and metering performance metrics and data analysis
Operations processes to include, but not limited to the line patrol annual plan, execution and deficiency corrections; annual transmission aerial assessment; claims process and high load moves Claims resolution lead
Responsible to support the following:
Annual capital and expense budget preparation
Annual work plan development and execution
Annual required workforce training DOT and DIMPS annual requirements assistance
Annual projects development and design to support operations and construction
Supervise the gas and electric operations in the absence of the Division Manager
Full-time position.$81,200 - $148,900 annually, de ending on experience.
