Job Title: Engineering TechnicianJob DescriptionThe ideal candidate will assist with the modification, fabrication, assembly, operation, installation, repair, and maintenance of general laboratory, experimental, and commercial equipment. Additionally, the candidate will assist in setting up and may conduct routine experiments and tests, as well as record data.Responsibilities

Assemble and install simple laboratory equipment, experimental or commercial apparatus.

Operate lab and experimental equipment and collect data.

Clean, adjust, and replace parts on lab and experimental equipment.

Set up and check out routine experiments and tests according to pre-arranged procedures, recording experimental data.

Observe all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.

Work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Maintain work area in an orderly condition by returning tools, equipment, and materials to storage areas.

Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

Must be able to work with common hand tools.

Must be able to perform a variety of routine tasks and demonstrate a good working knowledge of laboratory equipment and procedures.

Ability and willingness to work on systems with unusual conditions such as high pressure, high voltage, high energy , cryogens, or radioactive materials.

Knowledge of computer operations and applications pertinent to the field.

Work EnvironmentOnsite in Tupelo. This is a great opportunity for an entry-level candidate to get into the aerospace and defense field with training provided.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
