As a result, our people get to enjoy working on some of the most exciting projects in the world.Job DescriptionTurner & Townsend will be seeking an experienced Senior Structural Project Manager - Manufacturing Construction responsible for leading construction of a large battery manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, able to take the initiative and drive activities with limited supervision. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the construction industry.Responsibilities:

Utilize structural design industry standards and engineering concepts to provide our client with high quality service

Provide structural design oversight throughout the life cycle of construction

Ensure prompt client invoicing and utilizing financial system in order to monitor a project’s financial status.

Project planning, including producing the detailed project plan.

Monitor and applying performance management techniques.

Manage the change control process.

Manage the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications.

Prepare formal project budget progress and other reports.

Quality Control – Ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Work to construct proposals for new work or variations for existing projects.

Identify opportunities to improve Project Management procedures, templates and products referring ideas to the appropriate line manager.

Identify and ensuring that the appropriate line manager is aware of quality, safety, health and environment issues.

Establish effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilized throughout project.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field.

Project Management (or PMP) and Structural certification preferred.

8+ years of applicable experience.

Ability to advise at a strategic level during the project conception stage, including providing advice on the different approaches that can be adopted in order to successfully achieve the client’s overall objectives.

Great time management skills. Ensure that project is managed to the right quality standards, completed efficiently and on time.

Ability to build strong working relationships with clients and cross-functional team members.

Experienced working as an effective team member within the context of delivering a specific commission.  

Demonstrated experience working on large complex airport construction projects.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to be highly effective in a client facing role.

Knowledge and application of structural and building codes.

Membership in relevant professional organizations.

Experienced managing stakeholders and work stream managers.
