Facilities Technician - Aerospace Industry

Key Responsibilities
Pneumatics Maintenance & Repair:
Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain pneumatic systems, including compressors, air lines, control systems, valves, and actuators.
Calibrate and repair pneumatic components to ensure consistent performance and reliability.
Identify and address issues in pneumatic systems proactively to prevent downtime.
Mechanical Maintenance & Repair:
Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain mechanical systems, including blowers, exhaust fans, belts, bearings, conveyors, valves, and actuators.
Evaluate and repair mechanical components to ensure consistent performance.
Proactively identify issues in mechanical systems to minimize unexpected downtime.
Hydraulic Maintenance & Repair:
Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain hydraulic systems (oil and water), including pumps, heat exchangers, lines, valves, and actuators.
Calibrate and repair hydraulic components for optimal performance and reliability.
Proactively identify hydraulic system issues to prevent downtime.
Manufacturing Equipment Support:
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production and facility equipment such as CNC machines, conveyors, automated systems, paint booths, cure ovens, clean rooms, inspection equipment, and robotic assemblies.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce unscheduled downtime.
Respond promptly to production issues and repairs to support plant operations.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and modifications to existing equipment.
Facilities Maintenance:
Conduct routine inspections and repairs of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting systems.
Maintain plant air compressors, air dryers, vacuum systems, and associated piping.
Inspect and repair plant piping systems, including potable water, non-potable water, gas, and sanitary sewer systems.
Conduct inspections and repairs on sprinkler systems, fire pumps, roofs, man doors, overhead doors, and electrical distribution systems.
Respond promptly to facility issues and repairs to support plant operations.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs through a PC-based CMMS program.
o Create and close out work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
o Manage assets and ensure accurate documentation.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and schematic drawings.
Collaborate with the Facilities Director to develop maintenance schedules and prioritize tasks.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow all safety guidelines and protocols specific to the defense industry.
Contribute to safety training programs and report unsafe conditions or practices.
Operate forklifts and man lifts (platform and articulated) as needed.
Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
