We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Construction Office Manager & Accountant. As the primary point of contact for our office, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and providing exceptional customer service. Proficiency in Construction Partner software is required. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with experience in government projects and payroll management.
Key Responsibilities:
Office Management:
o Manage the office operations, including administrative tasks, and ensure a smooth workflow.
o Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure timely completion of projects.
o Maintain a clean and organized office environment.
Accounting and Financial Management:
o Manage financial transactions, including invoicing, payments, and accounts receivable/payable.
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Construction Partner software.
o Prepare and submit financial reports to management and stakeholders as required.
Payroll Management:
o Manage payroll processing, including employee data entry, benefits administration, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
o Ensure accurate and timely payment of employees, including taxes, benefits, and deductions.
Job Costing:
o Implement and maintain a job costing system to track and measure the costs associated with each project.
o Assign costs to each task, activity, and resource used to complete the project, from start to finish.
o Analyze job costing data to identify areas for cost reduction and improve project efficiency.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
o Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
o Provide financial insights and recommendations to management to optimize business performance.
Government Projects Experience:
o Manage and coordinate with government agencies, including federal, state, and local government projects.
o Ensure compliance with government regulations, including Davis-Bacon, OSHA, and other applicable laws.
Customer Service:
o Provide exceptional customer service to contractors, suppliers, and clients.
o Respond to inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain a positive relationship with clients.
Software Proficiency:
o Proficiency in Construction Partner software, including data entry, reporting, and analysis.
o Familiarity with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero, is an asset.
Payroll Software Proficiency:
o Proficiency in payroll software, such as ADP or Paychex, is required.

Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
Experience:
o 5+ years of experience in construction, accounting, or a related field.
o 2+ years of experience in payroll management, preferably with government projects.
Skills:
o Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
o Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Software Requirements: Proficiency in Construction Partner software, payroll software, and accounting software.
Nice to Have:
Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification.
Language Skills: Bilingual or multilingual skills are an asset.
