Payroll Accountant

Description Lana Funkhouser with Robert Half is in search of a Payroll Accountant to join our team. As a Payroll Accountant, you will be tasked with managing payroll processing activities, maintaining accurate records, and conducting necessary reconciliations. Your role will also involve dealing with employee garnishments, union reports, and procedures for new permanent staff.Responsibilities: Accurately and efficiently handle the processing of customer credit applications. Maintain precise records of customer credit. Review and validate timecards as part of the payroll processing activities. Take responsibility for creating and sending out certified payroll reports as required by specific projects. Manage the reconciliation of AFLAC deductions and issue ACH payments accordingly. Handle the reconciliation of union reports and issue ACH payments to the respective trusts. Deal with employee garnishments and issue ACH payments to the related entities. Take charge of procedures for new permanent staff, including entering them into the payroll system. Prepare necessary reports such as FUTA, SUTA, and 941 reports. Oversee the reconciliation and payment of local and state payroll taxes.Please contact Lana Funkhouser with Robert Half to review this position.
