job title: Owner Ops
We are looking for dedicated power only drivers in Jackson MS This is all local work with the majority of loads being drop & hook (occasional live work). Facilities operate 24 hours/day M-Sat.
How it works is we book a dedicated driver on a hitch for a 3-5 day period (12 hr shift/day) running consistent loads. Pay is based on mileage on each load, and drivers are paid a bonus of $220 each day they are booked on a hitch on top of the loads they run since they are dedicating their truck. Drivers are paid for detention if that comes into play and are also paid $1/mi after 30 miles of deadhead.
Avg. revenue per day is $500-$600 and drivers are also paid the bonus of $220/day so the avg. revenue per day in total comes out to around $700-$800. Since it is all local work, drivers spend less in fuel and truck maintenance and in turn make a higher margin.
