Summary and Scope
The Food Service (FS) Equipment Readiness Specialist will troubleshoot, repair, install, maintain, and audit FS assets as needed with guidance from the FS Equipment Manager. They will also maintain current inventory levels at various Deployed Resources (DR) warehouses across the continental US, process purchase orders as required, track orders, and update the internal FS asset inventory system. They will assist with general labor assignments at the FS Jackson Warehouse and at the Equipment Readiness (ER) Yard. These jobs and tasks will be performed at various DR contracts where they will be required to travel to. Between opportunities to conduct repairs on site, staff will return to the FS Jackson Warehouse where they will carry out tasks as assigned by the FS Jackson Warehouse Supervisor.
Essential Functions
Perform installation of gas and electrical FS equipment observing local, state and federal codes.
Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on FS assets.
Coordinate repairs of kitchen assets and equipment with vetted vendors with guidance from FS Equipment Manager.
Develop and run reports for Food Service Equipment Readiness team.
Assist with training and execution of internal equipment tracking system.
Coordinate maintenance schedules with other DR departments.
Assist in establishing equipment inventory and SOP procedures.
Assist FS Equipment Manager with equipment improvement recommendations and optimization.
Perform ground maintenance and limited site work tasks as needed during mobilizations.
Setup and breakdown equipment during mobilizations and demobilizations including trailers and containerized assets.
Safely and efficiently attach and secure a 28-foot trailer to a pickup truck, ensuring all connections meet safety standards.
Confidently operate a pickup truck with a 28-foot trailer attached, navigating various road conditions, including highways and interstates.
Maintain awareness of vehicle and trailer dimensions to ensure compliance with traffic laws and regulations while transporting across long distances.
Obtain required internal certifications to operate forklifts and other specialized equipment.
Maintain a record of purchases and track incoming assets.
Assign assets as needed and manage asset reserve inventory at multiple DR warehouses.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
Secondary Functions
Conduct equipment functionality audits.
Inventory FS smallware.
Repair FS equipment as needed.
Move trailers as needed.
Clean and sanitize FS assets at Jackson Yard.
Support Jackson Yard team outside of Food Service in various projects including but not limited to cleaning, painting, inventorying or moving assets.
Prepare equipment and smallware kits for various contracts.
Load FS equipment for mobilizations and upcoming work.
Assist with other duties as assigned.

Skills and Specifications
Be familiar and able to use common hand and electric tools used in the maintenance industry.
Be familiar with basic construction, electrical, plumbing, gas, and refrigeration skills.
Be self-motivated and complete assignments with limited supervision.
Be a problem-solver and creative thinker.
Be able to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software used by DR.
Available to work nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Associate degree is preferred.
Technical school, certifications, and licenses will be considered.
5+ years of Hot / Cold restaurant equipment repair and installation experience.
EPA universal certification
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, see, hear, stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, climb, engage in repetitive motions, and use hands and fingers to manipulate objects, tools, or controls. May routinely and repetitively lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted (or heavier with the use of proper equipment and procedures).
Expected Hours of Work
The ability to work flexible hours including nights, holidays, and weekends will be required based on contract needs. It is expected for this position to attend regular meetings during typical work hours in Eastern Standard Time as well as meetings as needed for assigned projects in other time zones.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment and field environments. We operate 24/7/365, inside and outside, in all weather conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, smart phones, tablets, photocopiers, filing cabinets and other presentation materials. This role is required to use and wear standard PPE, which will be provided by the company. There is an expectation of clear communication in English both written and orally.
Travel
This position requires up to 50% travel. Travel is dependent on contract load. The ability to travel to job sites and be away for extended periods of time based on contract needs is required. Short notice travel is required with 24-48 hours’ notice.
Work Authorization
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS)
Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, occupational health physical and lift test (if applicable), credit check (if applicable), and a background check upon accepting a conditional offer of employment.
Must possess a valid driver's license. Have/maintain a clean driving record.
