Experienced Gardener - Raking leaves, Digging, Weeding, Pruning, Planting, Mulching.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in ensuring that all grounds are maintained
Helping in scouting for pests and implementing a comprehensive IPM program
Water and applying fertilizer as needed
Weeding
Pruning and shaping of plant material
Grooming and detailing the collection
Assist with transporting and placing plant displays
Organization and sanitation of the facilities
Assist in preparing estate for tours
Other duties and responsibilities as needed
Qualities
Adherence to high aesthetic standards in all areas
Interact effectively with other staff to ensure clear communication
Promote a team dynamic
Ability to use horticultural tools and power equipment safely
Basic knowledge of horticultural techniques and plant ID
Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Able to perform physically strenuous tasks and be able to lift up to 40lbs
Adaptable with strong problem-solving skills
Excellent time management and planning skills with attention to detail
A positive attitude with a passion for plants
Motivated to work independently and able to take direction.
Requirements
Prior horticultural experience is essential, with a preference for candidates possessing greenhouse and estate maintenance -related expertise.
