Legal Secretary/Paralegal needed for a small law firm.
Will consider temp-to-hire. Pay will be based on experience.
Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm (closed one hour for lunch)
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide administrative support to the lawyers and legal professionals
Prepare and draft legal documents
Conduct research and gather relevant information for cases
Assist with case management, including organizing files, scheduling meetings/hearings, tracking deadlines, managing calendars
Review and proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
Experience with Chancery Court matters is a plus
Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
Previous experience as a legal secretary or in a similar role required (5 years plus preferred)
Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation
Proficiency in using Word, Outlook, MEC filing systems
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
