LANDSCAPE CREW MEMBER

Established in 2018, we are a rapidly growing, full-service landscape, lawn care, and irrigation business, headquartered in Brandon, serving residential and commercial clients across the entire Metro-Jackson, Mississippi area.

Led by Landscape Horticulturist Shane Wade, we are committed to providing quality, affordable, professional, and sustainable landscape, lawn care, and irrigation solutions for our clients, the community, and the environment.

We’re hiring landscape crew members to provide high-quality landscaping and lawn care & maintenance services to our clients. Under the supervision of the crew leader, you’ll be responsible for mowing, mulching, edging, fertilizing, raking, pruning, and other lawn care and maintenance duties.

The landscape crew members are responsible for performing tasks related to our broad portfolio of lawn care, landscape, and irrigation services, jobs, and projects, including installations and maintenance, with highest level of professionalism and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

- Perform general lawn care and maintenance duties such as, but not limited to, mowing, raking, mulching, weeding, fertilizing, edging, and pruning, etc.;

- Assist team with clients’ landscape design, landscape construction, landscape installation, and landscape maintenance;

- Tend to flower beds using a sprinkler or irrigation system;

- Complete detailed daily reports of work, maintain time sheet records and other required documentation;

- Advise clients on how to maintain their landscaping design after work is completed;

- Care for established lawns by mulching, weeding, trimming and edging around flower beds, walks, and walls, etc.;

- Plant foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, and shrubs, and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools;

- Trimming and pruning of shrubs, annuals, perennials, and small trees;

- Follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, create beds, or plant flowers and foliage;

- Remove old landscaping to include removal of sod, shrubs, trees, and weeds, etc.;

- Loading and unloading of plants, mulch, dirt, sod, etc., as job requires;

- Other duties as assigned;

Job Requirements:

- Experience in the lawn care and landscape industry a plus;

- Ability/Experience driving truck with trailer a plus;

- Must possess reliable transportation to and from the company headquarters site, located in Brandon, MS

- Experience with a variety of hand tools and maintenance equipment including clippers, chain saws, lawnmowers, blowers, edgers, rakes, and hedge trimmers, etc. a plus;

- Excellent stamina and physical health is required;

- Must be a hard-worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic;

- Timeliness and dependability are critical;

- Ability to work as part of a team is critical;

- Proper use of all tools, equipment and machinery is mandatory;

- Ability to follow directions closely is critical;

- Ability to work in accordance with safety requirements and regulations, and company standards is mandatory;

- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with supervisors, other crew members, clients, vendors, etc. is required;

- Residential and/or commercial installation experience a plus;

- Hardscape installation experience a plus;

- Valid MS Driver’s license is required;

- Must bring lunch each day;

- Must be able to pass a background check and/or drug screening;

- Ability to perform physical work and heavy lifting is mandatory. (This position requires the ability to load and unload trucks/trailers, and move plants and other materials; ability to lift 50 lbs on occasion and 25 lbs regularly);

Compensation is competitive and based on experience
