Virtual Visitation Navigator

Employee is responsible for all aspects of coordinating the Virtual Visitation program. Incumbent will work directly with physicians, nursing, and care management, patient and family to establish effective communication through virtual meetings. Employee will efficiently schedule the use of the hardware, and assist in the maintenance of the hardware for maximization. They will maintain appropriate meeting space including patient room or other meeting location(s). Employee is subject to call back and overtime as required by the hospitalDevelops and implements a Virtual Visitation program for the enhanced communication between patient, WTH caregiver/providers and family/decision makers. Receives requests and schedules all Virtual Visitation sessions using above average judgement in prioritization of equipment, timing, etc. to best meet the needs of the stakeholders. Issues and tracks hardware for Virtual Visitation sessions.Contacts external visitors to establish meeting viability prior to scheduled session including over-the-phone training for families to download and use the ZOOM or other designated visitation platform and conduct test sessions as needed prior to the scheduled meeting.Works with communication department for public awareness and internal awareness.Effectively works with patient care teams, patients, and family/decision makers to establish communication needs that may be met via Virtual Visitation and facilitates those needs in the most efficient manner.Communicates any and all pertinent information to physicians, nursing, and care management regarding Virtual Visitation. Maintains an internal meeting location suitable for effective communication to occur. Hosts external visitors for Virtual Visitation, demonstrating above average tact and compassion when dealing with difficult situations. Maintains hardware in conjunction with WTH IS.Assists with VV tracking and reporting. Supports budgeting process with usage data. Charts (ad hoc) detail about Virtual Visitation such as attendees and contact information.Performs related responsibilities as required or directed. EDUCATION: College degree in nursing or other healthcare field.
