Relocation assistance and sponsorship is not provided.JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSEThe Business Analyst will be part of the AI group and support various activities within the group. The Business Analysts' group is a vital contributor to the success of the AI initiatives by bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions. This role requires a skilled professional with a deep understanding of AI technologies, business processes, and a knack for translating complex requirements into actionable insights. Leveraging AI to drive business excellence, this position plays a key role in shaping the future of our organization.The business analyst will work on the Delivery team in agile "pods," fostering a culture of repeatability and agility in project execution.Purpose Statement:The purpose of the Business Analyst is to support the product manager and collaborates with the business in the identification of business requirements and implementation of AI solutions.JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Requirement Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, processes, and requirements related to AI initiatives. Conduct comprehensive analysis to translate business needs into clear, concise, and actionable business requirements (product features, business rules, data sources, formulas). Summarize and organize complex information arising from multiple business planning sessions, ensuring the information accurately reflects the discussion and decisions that occurred during the sessions.

Stakeholder Engagement: Assist process owners with developing problem statements and estimating benefits to evaluate AI and digital solutions.

Process Optimization: In-depth knowledge of the utility company's business processes and workflows, from customer onboarding to energy distribution and billing. Participate in planning sessions with business leaders to identify and describe AI and digital ideas to support the business.

Documentation and Reporting: Create detailed documentation of business processes, requirements, and AI model specifications. Translate requirements into Develop user stories and epics. Generate regular reports to communicate project progress, risks, issues key metrics, and insights to stakeholders and AI team. Support creation and maintenance of workplan.

Collaboration: Facilitate prioritization meetings with AI Digital Transformation and business leaders to help assess and rank various AI ideas.

Change Management Support: Support Business Analytics Manager, Product Manager, and Change Management Analyst with product demonstrations, communications materials, job aids, and help track user adoption on a regular frequency.

POD Support: As needed, develop reports, dashboards, forecasts, and workplan to support the operation of the agile “pod” team. Perform financial modeling and analysis.

Communication: Interact with department management and may interact with leadership throughout the organization to identify issues that warrant future projects.

Technology Integration: Work closely with the engineering team to ensure a seamless integration of AI and other digital technologies into existing business processes. Provide expertise in identifying opportunities for AI applications and enhancements. Analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights and support data-driven decision-making processes. Collaborate with data scientists to develop and refine AI models based on business requirements. Collaborate with QA teams to ensure that AI and digital solutions meet specified requirements and quality standards. Participate in testing activities and assist in the resolution of identified issues.

Leadership: Mentor junior analysts in project management, goal setting and other related areas.

Data Management and Security: Expertise in handling sensitive customer and operational data in compliance with industry regulations. Understanding data governance principles and ensuring the secure and ethical use of data in AI applications.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSMinimum education required of the position.Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business related field required or equivalent work experience. Desired: Master's Degree.Minimum experience required of the position.

Business Analyst Sr: 6-8 years of professional experience

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position.

Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the context of AI or digital transformation projects.

Strong understanding of AI technologies, machine learning, and data analysis.

Strong understanding of automation technologies such as RPA and Power Platform

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Proficient in using business analysis tools and methodologies.

Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

Strong understanding of the agile framework.

Working knowledge of Scrum methodology.

Utility Industry knowledge and awareness of regulatory frameworks, compliance requirements, and industry standards.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position.

Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) is a plus.

Agile certification is a plus
