The work we do here matters.Department OverviewThe Mobile Video team consists of Motorola Solutions Body Worn Camera, In-Car Video and Licence Plate Recognition (LPR) Solutions.Motorola is world's largest producer of in-car video systems and body-worn cameras specifically designed for the law enforcement market. The Motorola LPR product line consists of LPR, Facial Recognition, and Parking. Developed for law enforcement, by law enforcement, our LPR has created the most comprehensive online platform for generating investigative leads for law enforcement agencies throughout the world. The Mobile Video team also will be responsible for unifying these technologies with software and Motorola's web based mapping solution AWARE.Job Description This position is responsible for the following areas: Strategic Vision Casting - Within the parameters of the corporate strategy, the incumbent must utilize strong leadership and communication skills to cast a clear vision to execute the strategy. Lead Change - Provide an environment where changes in market focus, product performance, and customer requirements are communicated and acted upon. Drive Results - Establish an environment of ownership while understanding the business goals for the territory and the individual contributors for achieving those goals. Grow Sales - Business is high growth, as a Service (SaaS) business with continued increase in Recurring Software Revenue.The Mobile Video Area Sales Manager (Southeast US) will be responsible for but not limited to the following: Responsible for leading a sales team within designated region, strategic account planning, and overall relationship management for existing and new customers. Align the Mobile Video sales team to the Motorola Solutions' territory teams and key work partners to enhance sales & execution (internal and external partners). Establish a collaborative, energetic and exciting working environment as the leader of the region. Hold sales team accountable for achieving/exceeding the Committed View (CV) forecast. Report in detail the CV forecast per month, quarter and annually. Set go-to-market strategies both with direct and indirect selling resources. Generate a long-term, multiple-year sales pipeline and accounts to pursue. Create, strengthen, and manage reseller and Motorola manufacturer representative organizations. Develop strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers within the existing customer base. Support sales team in negotiating large contracts. Resolve complex customer service and satisfaction issues. Help drive product decisions and support decisions to support our customers existing and future needs. Develop Motorola procurement vehicles for multiple solutions to be leveraged across an entire "target" account. Actively participate in customer engagement (50% travel). Engage at the executive level. Attract into the organization and develop a diverse pool of future leadersSpecific Knowledge/Skills: Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of sales/public safety experience. OR 8+ years of sales/public safety experience. 1+ year of leadership experience preferred. A track record of making or exceeding assigned sales goals. Knowledge and experience with CRM systems, specifically Saleforce.com. Experience with Miller-Heiman sales methodology. Experience selling video and/ or software solutions. Highly motivated and results-oriented. Excellent negotiation skillsBasic Requirements: Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of sales/public safety experience.
