Blackman Township, MI, USJob DescriptionSchedule and coordinate timely deliveries of purchased components by releasing orders generated by the MRP/Buyers/Supplier Schedules to the suppliers. Provide support to the manufacturing floor by creating, scheduling and managing orders generated by the MRP. Schedule and coordinate the flow of work within or between departments in manufacturing and between plants (JC/WC) to expedite production and material flow. Review master production schedule and work orders, establish priorities for specific customer orders, and revise schedule according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of employees, parts, materials, machines and equipment. On-time delivery and Inventory goals are the primary focus.Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.A. Plan and allocate materials based on prescribed methodology to provide timely delivery to customers.

B. Ensure that materials, supplies and services are provided by supplier in support of internal and external customer requirements.

C. Manage and develop suppliers to ensure optimal quality and delivery, while maintaining strong supplier relationships

D. Execute daily/weekly cycle of release, expedite, and review of production requirements to support manufacturing requirements.

E. Drive part deliveries to minimize part shortages.

F. Provide supplier forecasting information from forecast/schedules where required.

G. Manage and maintain MRP parameters to meet inventory strategy.

H Analyze inventory levels and meet DOH objectives.

I. Actively support timely disposition of deviated materials and return-to-vendor of defective parts

J. Manage all issues with supplier invoicing to insure timely payment to suppliers

K. Model the Danfoss ethical conduct policy and comply with all other corporate, plant, and regulatory policies and regulations as applicable.

L. Manage supplier performance improvement objectives.

M. Participate in continuous improvement programs.Background & SkillsQualifications

Required (basic) qualifications

High school diploma / GED

Minimum 1 year buying, planning experience

This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.Preferred qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field

Planning & scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment

MRP systems knowledge (SAP and Mfg/Pro preferred)

Comprehensive knowledge of materials planning and inventory control processes

APICS Certification

Negotiation Skills
