Sr. Accountant

Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Booneville, Mississippi. In this role, you will have the opportunity to apply your accounting skills and knowledge in a dynamic and challenging environment. As a Sr. Accountant, you will have crucial responsibilities in managing and maintaining our financial records. This role is instrumental in ensuring the financial health of our organization.Responsibilities: Engage in account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy of financial data. Conduct bank reconciliations to verify our financial transactions. Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all financial data is up to date and accurate. Prepare and post journal entries to record financial transactions. Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze data, create reports and present financial information. Oversee month-end close activities and prepare financial reports for management. Utilize NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to manage financial data and perform accounting functions. Participate in month-end close activities and ensure all accounting tasks are completed within the deadline. Stay updated with accounting standards and regulations and ensure compliance in all accounting tasks. Train and support junior staff members in various accounting tasks and use of financial software. Requirements Must have a minimum of one year of experience as an Accountant Proficiency in Account Reconciliation required Experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation necessary Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations is essential Knowledge of General Ledger is important Proficiency in Journal Entries is expected Must have experience using Microsoft Excel Experience in Month End Close procedures is a must Familiarity with NetSuite software is crucial Knowledge of Oracle software is required Experience with SAP software is highly desirable Must have participated in Month-end Close Activities before.
