Mechanical Technician

Description:Candidates will be working in the shop about 90% and in the field about 10% of the time. This company builds and repairs irrigation systems for farmers and the pumps that run the irrigation system. This role specifically will be diagnosing, dismantling, troubleshooting and repairing the pump that runs the irrigation system. Candidates will use a variety of hand and power tools, take apart the pump, figure out the issue and repair it. This takes time so they will work hand in hand with another tech in the shop. This is mostly hydraulic work on pumps, hoses, etcAnother aspect of the job (10%) is going to farmland with a tech and taking the damaged pump out, loading it onto the trailer and brining it into the shop. Overall candidates will need to be mechanically inclinded, be able to use hand and power tools and take good direction.
