Job DescriptionAs a Tig Welder, you will be responsible for welding and assembling process equipment for the food industry, primarily focusing on stainless food-grade equipment. The role involves a balanced mix of Tig welding and assembly work, ensuring high-quality standards and participating in continuous improvement activities.Responsibilities
Perform Tig Welding (50%) and assembly (50%) of various types of process equipment for the food industry.
Weld and assemble pipes and pipe parts in acid-resistant stainless steel.
Execute TIG welding (pulsating), both manually and mechanically.
Crawl in and out of containers as necessary.
Conduct process checks according to quality requirements.
Rework labor work sheets and submit them.
Participate in daily improvement activities.
Actively engage in multi-skill training.
Contribute to the team’s WCM/5S activities and achieve the required level as per company requests.
Essential Skills
Tig Welding experience or a relevant degree.
Proficiency in welding and assembling stainless steel equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
Comfortable working in confined spaces.
Willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Push Button Tig Welders.
Capability to perform welds in the 6g position on 2 1/2" sch 40 pipe with a 45-degree bevel.
Ability to perform root passes with full penetration, fill passes to flush with the pipe, and cover passes without undercut.
Experience with fillet welds on T-plates and small diameter tubing (less than 3/8", more than 1/4").
