Staff Accountant

Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team located in White Bear Township, Minnesota. In this role, you will take charge of the daily accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions, and actively contributing to the strategic financial management of our business. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining the financial health of our organization and will require a strong accounting background, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.Responsibilities: Leading daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, and month-end close activities. Ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. Providing comprehensive financial analysis to support decision-making, budgeting, and forecasting. Identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement in financial processes. Participating in the preparation of financial statements, reconciliations, and financial reports. Playing a key role in implementing and maintaining accounting systems and processes. Continuously assessing and enhancing accounting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Implementing best practices to streamline workflows and enhance the overall financial function. Working closely with cross-functional teams, providing financial expertise and insights to support operational decision-making. Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between financial goals and overall business objectives. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and other financial laws. Staying updated on changes in accounting principles and regulations. Staying informed about industry best practices and sharing knowledge with the team. Requirements A minimum of three years of relevant experience in the field of accounting Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, and Journal Entries Experience in Month End Close procedures Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP Background in Cost Accounting, specifically in a manufacturing environment Ability to perform Manufacturing Cost Accounting Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Ability to work independently and as part of a team Certification such as CPA is a plus but not required Compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable laws and regulations.
