Description We are inviting applications for the position of Sr. Accountant based in St. Paul, Minnesota. This role is integral to our operations, involving a range of accounting functions such as General Ledger (G/L) Accounting and Month-End Close, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Cash Management. Responsibilities: Leading the monthly General Ledger (G/L) close, which includes preparing journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts Reviewing and entering invoices into the accounting system as part of the Accounts Payable function Overseeing Accounts Receivable, which includes monthly billings and ensuring timely collections of customer balances Managing cash flow, this involves daily cash reconciliation and preparation of rolling cash-flow forecast Taking ownership of the expense reporting software, and reviewing expense reports to ensure they are submitted timely, with appropriate support, and in adherence to T& E policy Conducting regular financial analysis and preparing monthly financial statements Responding to ad-hoc requests for reports from external accounting firms, benefits and insurance providers, and Federal and State governments Undertaking project work as assigned. This role will report directly to the CFO and offers an opportunity to grow professionally within the business. Requirements Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in the role of an Accountant. Proficiency in account reconciliation is mandatory. Demonstrable experience in balance sheet reconciliation is required. Must have hands-on experience with bank reconciliations. Expertise in managing the general ledger is expected. Skilled in preparing and analyzing journal entries. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary. Experience in conducting month end close activities is required. Knowledge of NetSuite is a significant advantage. Previous experience with Oracle is highly desirable. Familiarity with SAP is a must.
