Join the talented, engaged and inclusive workforce dedicated to creating a better Minnesota.The MnCHOICES Reporting Coordinator will lead and analyze the data and research work of the MnCHOICES Revision system. MnCHOICES is a comprehensive web-based assessment and planning tool used by counties, tribal nations, and managed care organizations, collectively known as lead agencies for LTSS programs. As a technical and subject matter expert, the incumbent will work closely with both internal and external partners including DHS, MNIT, lead agencies, and MnCHOICES vendor (FEI) to coordinate, lead and develop methodologies and processes for data and reporting infrastructure and design improvements, including business requirements, data validation and documentation. The MnCHOICES Reporting Coordinator will:
Develop and provide reports, dashboards, visualizations, and consultation to division leadership within ADSA, other administrations across DHS, and external partners
Employ a high level of expertise in the necessary program policy, data systems, technical tools, and statistical techniques to analyze complex programs and systems for trends and impacts
Be a resource for technical questions and troubleshooting; and will coordinate the validation of MnCHOICES analysis and research across ADSA teams and partners
This position is housed in the Fiscal Analysis and Results Management Division and works across divisional and administrations in DHS and MNIT.Minimum Qualifications3 years professional experience analyzing and reporting with data; performing data analytics, measurement, advanced statistical techniques, evaluation, and improvement. Experience must include the following:
Experience with Tableau, Microsoft Power BI (or other similar reporting tools), Sequel and/or SAS to write and run reports
Experience writing ad-hoc queries and stored procedures
Knowledge of data systems, data elements and application software solutions that optimize data gathering and data analysis
Advanced knowledge of creating and query data warehouse tables using MAXIS, MMIS, MnCHOICES and SSIS.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science or in related field may substitute for 1 year of experience.Preferred Qualifications
Strong written communication skills to explain technical and business requirements and common language explanations of what reports are telling us
Strong oral communication skills to explain and translate highly technical information to the end users, policy staff and stakeholders
Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and/or cultures
