The State of Minnesota is committed to equity and inclusion, and invests in employees by providing benefits, support resources, and training and development opportunities.This position is responsible to provide administrative and technical support in MMB’s Human Resources Office to ensure HR functions are performed in an efficient and effective manner. This includes providing support and assistance to customers on personnel issues, general administrative support to HR staff, scanning/validating personnel documents into electronic document management systems, and creating and running reports from a variety of software systems and applications as needed. This position will also assist the HR transactions team by processing routine HR transactions, acting as a back-up for all leaves of absences, and functioning as the Human Resources representative for new employee orientation, ensuring pre-employment and first day compliance requirements are met.This position is eligible for a hybrid telework arrangement. Onsite attendance will be required for team members or as requested by management to meet business needs. Completion of a telework agreement will be required.Minimum QualificationsOne year of experience performing a variety of Human Resources support functions that includes:

Experience working with a Human Resources Information System.

Customer service experience sufficient to provide prompt, courteous and accurate administrative and technical support to individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products with the ability to create forms, draft correspondence and run reports and queries.

Ability to analyze data and prioritize tasks to meet critical timelines.

Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications

Education and/or certifications in Human Resources or closely related field.

Knowledge of Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) regulations, rules, and state policies.

Experience using SEMA4.

Experience creating, querying and modifying reports in Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), the state’s personnel data reporting tool.

Experience applying federal, state, and employment contract language, personnel rules, policies, and procedures as it applies to employee transactions, leaves of absence, and benefit processes.
