This position assures various Department of Human Services’ (DHS) program funds and fiscal data are accounted for in the Statewide Integrated Financial Tools (SWIFT).Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
Serve as the unit’s Team Lead in training staff on procedures, documenting and organizing training material and reviewing the work of unit accountants.
Serve as the Financial Operations Division’s primary resource for analyzing and interpreting state and federal legislation, policies, bulletins, program instructions and official publications affecting assigned programs and grants.
Serve as primary fiscal contact for the development and operation of the financial components for assigned programs and grants including, but not limited to, accounting, budgeting, reporting, payment processes and financial performance indicator for programs and grants as assigned.
Consult, advise and provide technical assistance to program clientele on matters related to financial management, accounting, and administrative procedures so that programs and grants are operating fully within fiscal parameters required by state, federal and other funding sources related to assigned programs and grants.
Provide consulting and assistance to other clientele including the preparation and dissemination of reports, program analysis, program documentation and working papers.
Serve as the unit’s subject matter expert/lead worker/chief analyst and back-up contact regarding the Enterprise Grant Management System (EGMS).

Assisting with documentation and audit findings to ensure issues are accurately resolved.
Creating, analyzing, and presenting detailed financial reports, to internal and external stakeholders.
Budget planning and analysis systems.
Indirect cost plans, rate setting, and/or cost allocations.
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance will substitute for one (1) year of experience.ORA Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance may substitute for two (2) years of experience.Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of State's accounting and procurement system-Statewide Integrated Financial Tool (SWIFT).
Leadership experience in an accounting or finance setting.
Knowledge of Grant Management Life Cycle.
Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
