The position will be at our Trane facility located in St. Paul/White Bear Lake, MN. No relocation is available. It is full-time (40 hours per week) work over the summer months with the possibility of continuing part-time during the school year. This is an ideal opportunity for someone interested in design and development of building automation controls with Trane Commercial.Where is the work:This position has been designated as On-Site.Key Responsibilities:
Ability to Understand and develop automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, TestNG, Robot (Python), Cypress or similar
Perform testing to identify bugs and ensure software quality .
Use bug tracking systems like JIRA to document and report software defects (https://www.indeed.com/hire/job-description/software-test-engineer) .
Work closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle .
Provide feedback on potential issues, risks, and usability during product design reviews (https://interviewguy.com/automation-test-engineer-job-description/) .
Continuously improve the test infrastructure and adopt new testing methodologies to improve team efficiency (https://interviewguy.com/automation-test-engineer-job-description/) .
Having knowledge or enthusiastic to learn AWS tools.
Qualifications:Ideal candidate will have knowledge with some of the following:
Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related major.
General knowledge of test Automation frameworks and tools that support both UI and API Automation.
Basic understanding Performance and Load testing.
Knowledge of STLC (Software Test Life Cycle) fundamentals
Understanding or Experience writing and executing test automation scripts
Desire and ability to learn quickly and to contribute to the organization.
Technical and mathematical aptitude
HVAC equipment controls and system knowledge a plus.
Key Competencies:
Ability to meet short- and long-term deadlines.
Ability to work regularly and dependably.
Experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins or AWS Tools
Knowledge of performance and security testing.
