The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent may be expected to work in the office on occasion.This position manages the State Aid Emergency Relief Program for local public agencies throughout the state. Candidate will coordinate and monitor appropriate use of disaster relief funds including State and FHWA resources. This position also assists the Special Programs Engineer, State Aid Project Development Engineer, and State Aid Plans Engineer in the review and approval of construction plans, agreements, environmental documentation, and pay requests for locally initiated federally funded Projects.Minimum Qualifications
Licensure as a professional civil engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience and Interior Design (AELSLAGID). If obtaining licensure through comity (reciprocity), a practice pending letter from AELSLAGID must be provided to MnDOT HR prior to starting employment.
Experience in transportation project development from scoping to construction.
Experience in applying state and federal design and construction requirements.
Experience reading and interpreting construction plans.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with local public agencies and public works groups.
Experience with federal authorization, advertising, and pre-letting processes.
Experience with the federal environmental process and the National Environmental Project Act (NEPA).
