Description:Perform cytological analysis of benign and malignant conditions as well as identify unusual findings including insufficiency in the preparations.Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, biology or related field and completion of an accredited cytology/cytotechnology program. A master’s degree in cytology/cytotechnology may substitute for the registration requirements.
ASCP or equivalent certification in cytology/cytotechnology
Successful completion of a Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) or ASCP approved School of Cytotechnology
Preferred:
3+ years of experience as a cytologist/cytotechnologist
