Description We are on the search for an Accounting Assistant to join our team in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. This position plays an integral role on the accounting team, providing crucial support to our finance director. As an Accounting Assistant, your primary role will be to process vendor invoices, manage deposits, and handle fee-for-service billing. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity and will be based in our office.Responsibilities: Accurately process vendor invoices and enter them into the accounting system. Receive and manage deposits, ensuring they are correctly posted in bank accounting. Handle fee-for-service agreements and regularly send out invoices to our members. Monitor and take appropriate action on customer accounts. Assist in the transition to a new expense management system. Ensure accurate customer credit records are maintained. Utilize accounting software systems proficiently, particularly Quickbooks Online. Perform regular bank reconciliations. Assist with auditing tasks as required. Perform other accounting functions as needed.Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Knowledge of Auditing practices and principles Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations Proficiency in Quickbooks Online Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred Previous experience in an Accounting Assistant role or similar is advantageous Strong organizational and time management skills Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
